1. Who this applies to
This notice explains how SpliceMap ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit splicemap.com, request a demo, or use the SpliceMap platform.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Demo requests: name, company, work email, and network size, submitted through our demo request form.
- Account data: name, email, and organization details, if you sign up for the Service.
- Customer Data: the network information you enter into SpliceMap — ODF, closure, splitter, and connection records. This is your data; see our Terms of Service for how it's handled.
- Payment information: we don't collect or store your card details. Subscriptions are processed by PayPal, and PayPal handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical information (browser type, device type, IP address) when you visit the site, for security and troubleshooting.
- PayPal's checkout widget may set its own cookies when you use the subscription buttons on our pricing page — these are controlled by PayPal, not by us.

4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- PayPal, to process subscription payments
- Service providers who help us run the Service (such as hosting and email delivery), under obligations to protect your data
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect our legal rights
5. Data retention
We keep demo request information as long as needed to follow up, and account/Customer Data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for backups and legal purposes. You can request earlier deletion — see Section 7.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encrypted connections. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@splicemap.com. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. International transfers
Your information may be processed in a country other than the one you're located in. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
9. Children's privacy
SpliceMap is a business tool and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated notice here with a new "Last updated" date, and notify account holders where appropriate.
